More than two million pilgrims stand at Arafat to perform the greatest pillar of Hajj

Weather of Arabia - Today, Saturday, more than two million pilgrims are standing at the Arafat level, amid an integrated system of services provided by the concerned authorities in Saudi Arabia. It is expected that a large number of pilgrims will come to Nimra Mosque in Arafat to perform the noon and afternoon prayers, combined and short, after listening to the Arafat sermon. Which will be delivered by Sheikh Maher Al-Muaiqli, the imam and preacher of the Grand Mosque, and which will be translated into twenty different languages, highlighting Saudi Arabia’s religious and humanitarian message and demonstrating its leadership, tolerance, and commitment to moderation and moderation, and spreading peace in the world.

With sunset on the eighth day of Dhu al-Hijjah, the pilgrims began to ascend to the Mash’ar of Arafat in preparation for standing on its pure level, which is considered the best day on which the sun rises and to perform the greatest pillar of Hajj, as standing at Arafat is considered one of the most important rituals of Hajj, and whoever misses Arafat misses Hajj.

The escalation process to Mash'ar Arafat is carried out by the Mashaer train, which accommodates 72,000 passengers per hour, in addition to 12,000 buses operating on a frequency system to transport pilgrims through organized routes and a well-studied plan.

Today, Saturday, the ninth of Dhul-Hijjah, pilgrims perform the noon and afternoon prayers, shortened and combined, then they begin the Nafarra, heading to Muzdalifah to spend the night there, then moving to Mina to complete the Hajj rituals.

Arafat's hair

The area of Arafat is about 33 square kilometers, and more than two million pilgrims gather there. The past decades have proven the ability of the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, may God protect him, to accommodate these large numbers, providing them with all the amenities, security, and distinguished services without the pilgrim feeling any hardship.
The land of Arafat is characterized by its flatness, surrounded by a series of mountains. To its north is Mount Al-Rahma, which consists of a small hill with a flat surface and a large area, made of large, black, hard stones. The length of the mountain is 300 meters, its circumference is 640 metres, its base is 65 meters higher than the surrounding land, and on its summit there is a monument 7 meters high. This mountain is known by several names, including Mount Al-Il, Mount of Repentance, Mount of Supplication, Al-Nabit, and Mount Al-Qurain.

Pilgrims look forward to standing on the Mount of Mercy in Arafat, following the example of the Messenger of God, Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, who stood on it and delivered his farewell sermon. Pilgrims to the Sacred House of God are also keen to pray and supplicate to God Almighty, hoping for mercy and forgiveness.
