موقع ArabiaWeather.com-  أخلت فرق الدفاع المدني في الساعات الأولى من صباح اليوم الخميس, 1028 حاجاً من حجاج إحدى الدول الأسيوية من أحد الفنادق المصرح لها بإسكان الحجاج بحي العزيزية بالعاصمة المقدسة, بعد أن وقع حريق في أحد غرف الطابق الثامن من الفندق والمكون من 11 طابقاً .

 

وأوضح الناطق الإعلامي لقوات الدفاع المدني بالحج العقيد عبدالله العرابي الحارثي، أن عمليات الدفاع المدني في مكة المكرمة تلقت بلاغاً عند الساعة الثانية عشرة والنصف صباح اليوم, عن وقوع الحادث وعلى الفور تم توجيه عدد 6 فرق مجهزة بالسلالم لمباشرة الحادث وإخلاء الفندق، وإنقاذ 2 من الحجاج الذين تعرضوا للإصابة جراء الحادث.

 

ولفت العقيد الحارثي, إلى أنه تم التنسيق مع وزارة الحج ليتم إيواؤهم وتهيئة السكن المناسب لهم.
