<p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr">Weather of Arabia - The Director of the Meteorological Department, Mr. Raed Rafid Al Khattab, stated that the Kingdom was affected, since the early hours of Monday morning 02/06/2023, by a deep depression accompanied by a very cold air mass accompanied by stormy winds, interspersed with strong gusts at times, whose speed exceeded the barrier of 105 km / h. It led to the occurrence of dust storms and a decrease in the extent of horizontal visibility and its lack at times, especially in the desert areas. The northern and central regions of the Kingdom witnessed, during the afternoon hours, heavy showers of rain that were heavy at intervals, especially in the night hours, while the northern, southern and central highlands of the Kingdom witnessed Snow, which is more than 800 meters above sea level, accumulates unevenly according to the height.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"><br /> Al-Khattab added that the precipitation was concentrated until nine o’clock in the morning on Wednesday corresponding to 08/02/2023 in the northern and central regions of the Kingdom and parts of the southern regions, as the rain totals were adjusted and raised during the past 48 hours of the current rainy season 2022/2023 at good rates that ranged between Between (01%-31%) of the general seasonal rainy rate.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"><br /> Al-Khattab stated that the rain statistics up to 08/02/2023 indicate that the rain performance for its date has improved and increased in both the eastern and western central regions, including the central valleys, with an increase that ranged from (2%-10%) than what is supposed to be achieved for this time of the season. While the rain performance has become about its average in the northern and eastern regions of the Kingdom, with rates ranging from (90%-93%) of the performance that is supposed to be achieved until this date.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"><br /> Where the highest rain total during 48 hours from the beginning of the depression in the central-western regions was in the Al-Salt monitoring station, with a rainfall total of (108.6) mm, or 21% of its general seasonal average, followed by the University of Jordan monitoring station, with a rainfall total of (106.5) mm, which is 21% of its general seasonal average, followed by Al-Hussein Gardens station, with a rainfall total of (91.5) mm, or 19% of its general seasonal average, while the Amman Civil Airport monitoring station recorded a rainfall total of (65.9) mm, or 27%.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"><br /> In the northern regions, the Irbid meteorological station recorded a rainfall total of (90.5) mm, or 20% of the general seasonal average, followed by the Ras Munif monitoring station, with a rainfall total of (81.0) mm, or 14% of the general seasonal average.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"><br /> The thickness of the accumulated snow at the Ras Munif monitoring station reached 15 cm, the University of Jordan monitoring station 6 cm, the Tafilah monitoring station 3 cm, and the Salt monitoring station 1 cm.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"><br /> Al-Khattab clarified that it is worth noting that the Zarqa weather station has achieved its full rainy season before the end of the rainy season, with an increase of 7% over its general average.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"><br /> The chart below shows the percentage deviation of the rain totals until the morning of 08/02/2023 from the general rainy average for this time of the rainy season. <img alt="" src="/sites/default/files/uploads-2020/jordan-arsad-8-2-2023.jpg" style="width: 687px; height: 387px;" /></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p>
