Heavy rain is expected in the north of the Kingdom, and it will be accompanied by showers of hail, especially over the high mountain heights. It is not excluded that a large flow of valleys will occur and the formation of torrents, in addition to the rise in the water level. It is not excluded that some northern regions will record more than 60 mm of rain in some areas between Wednesday morning and Thursday morning.
Strong southwesterly winds are expected, accompanied by strong gusts reaching 100 km/h in mountainous and open areas, causing dust waves in the desert areas and invasive roads in the south and east of the Kingdom.
The Kingdom crosses on Wednesday afternoon and evening a cold air front, where rainfall is regular in the center of the Kingdom, and extends to include the southern regions, God willing. The rain is sometimes heavy and accompanied by showers of hail, especially over the high mountain heights.
And during the hours of the night of Wednesday / Thursday, very cold winds rush in the various layers of the atmosphere, and snow is expected to fall from time to time and sometimes accumulate over the peaks of the high mountain heights, which are more than 1200 meters above sea level, and include the peaks of the high mountain heights in Jerash and Ajloun in the north, and parts of the peaks of the heights The high south includes the heights of the Southern Mazar and Muta in Karak, the heights of Al-Qadisiyah and Al-Rashadiya in Tafilah, the peaks of the Shawbak Brigade, Al-Hishah, Jabal Mabarak, Al-Taiba Al-Janubia, Ras Al-Naqab, and the areas surrounding Wadi Musa.
With expectations of a concentration of snowfalls, in particular, in the Qadisiyah and Rashadiyah regions in Tafila Governorate.
It is also expected that snowfall will extend temporarily during the late night hours over the mountain heights that are more than 1,000 meters above sea level, including the heights of the Balqa Heights and the peaks west of the capital Amman, and the accumulations, if they occur, will be limited and for short periods.
In view of all of the above, the weather forecast staff at the Arab Regional Weather Center believes that the Kingdom, God willing, will have a date with good amounts of rain, ranging between 20 and 40 mm in the north and west of the central regions of the Kingdom, and reaching more than 60 mm in some regions of the north. The Kingdom, while it ranges between 10 and 20 mm in the rest of the regions, thus providing a good boost to the total rainfall in the Kingdom, which was suffering from a severe shortage in the previous period.
