Jordan | Works announces the maximum emergency plan as of Tuesday morning

Weather of Arabia - The Ministry of Public Works and Housing announced, today, Monday, that it will work within the maximum emergency plan, starting on Tuesday morning, coinciding with the expected weather conditions that affect the Kingdom.

In a press statement issued by its media unit, the ministry confirmed its readiness to deal with the expected weather conditions and to address the feedback received to it over a 24-hour period through its 98 teams distributed over the various governorates of the Kingdom.

The Ministry circulated to its directorates and offices in various parts of the Kingdom full readiness to face the expected weather conditions and to conduct periodic inspection tours of all regions.

In its circular, the ministry stressed the need for permanent and continuous coordination with the ministry's partners to work on solving and addressing all observations immediately to maintain the sustainability of services provided to citizens, in accordance with the government approach.

She indicated that during the maximum emergency plan, mechanisms will be installed in the areas most affected by the expected weather conditions during the coming days

The works called on citizens to take precautions, to stay away from torrents, valleys and low-lying areas, including the Dead Sea area, and to be careful while driving on external roads in most regions of the Kingdom due to the low range of horizontal visibility as a result of the formation of fog that touches the surface of the earth, and snow showers at intervals and their accumulation above High mountain heights, and freezing conditions are formed as a result of low temperatures, according to forecasts received from the Meteorological Department

It also called on citizens not to hesitate to report any emergency situation through direct communication with the main operations room in the ministry and the operations rooms in the governorates, or through the application of the works reporting system on smart phones or through its operations rooms on the following numbers:
