Arab Weather - Director of the Ambulance and Humanitarian Support Department in the Civil Defense, Colonel Anwar Al-Shadifat, said that the Public Security Directorate dealt with 76 accidents that resulted in 89 injuries since the beginning of the winter season, as a result of the incorrect use of heaters.

Al-Shadifat added, in an interview with Al-Mamlaka, on Tuesday morning, that the Public Security Directorate is disseminating sufficient awareness methods to warn against using heaters during the winter, noting that heater accidents have been repeated during the recent period with the increased need to use heaters in light of the low temperatures.

He pointed out that the number of accidents involving the incorrect use of heaters decreased by 10-15% compared to previous years.

Al-Shadifat considered that this indicates a high level of awareness among citizens regarding the use of heaters during the winter.
