Jordan | “The King drew his sword.” He reacted to a snapshot of His Majesty the King on the Silver Jubilee

Weather of Arabia - Users on the “X” platform, formerly Twitter, responded with an enthusiastic reaction to a snapshot showing the Jordanian monarch, King Abdullah II, drawing his sword in a celebration of the “silver jubilee” of his accession to the throne.

Jordanian media channels published a video clip showing the king unsheathing his sword in a salute to the security and military services, where the king expressed his pride in being Jordanian before he unsheathed his sword and raised it amid chants of, “We sacrifice our lives for you, with blood, O Abu Hussein.” The celebration came on the 25th anniversary of King Abdullah II’s accession to the throne in Jordan, and users interacted with admiration and respect for this important moment in the country’s history.
