Arab Weather - The Kingdom witnessed, at dawn and in the morning of Wednesday, icy weather and very low temperatures, the lowest of which was in the Shobak District in Ma'an Governorate, where temperatures were recorded at -3.9 degrees below zero, while temperatures at Queen Alia Airport were the lowest in 13 years, reaching -3 degrees Celsius below zero, and frost formed in parts of the high southern peaks and eastern plains.
The latest weather maps outputs in "Arab Weather" indicate that the effect of the Siberian cold wave on the Kingdom's atmosphere will gradually recede, starting tomorrow, Thursday, and at the end of the week. However, despite this, temperatures are expected to remain below their usual rates and the weather will remain cold in the mountainous highlands and eastern plains, especially during the night, dawn, and early morning hours.
As for tomorrow, Thursday, and the weekend, temperatures are expected to rise, but remain cooler than usual by about 2-4 degrees Celsius. The weather will be relatively cold in general, and pleasant in low-lying areas, and low clouds will continue to appear in some areas.
Experts said that the most prominent feature during the coming days is the cold weather at night, especially in light of the decrease in cloud cover and the expected clear weather at night, which makes the weather colder and night temperatures remain low compared to this time of year and compared to what they were before the cold wave, with the continued chances of frost formation in the high mountainous heights, especially the southern ones and the eastern plains.
