Jordan | Favorable conditions for the formation of frost and freezing at night with the extension of the Siberian High towards the region, starting from Friday/Saturday night

Arab Weather - The latest output of the numerical weather models processed by the Arab Regional Weather Center indicates that the Kingdom was affected from Friday / Saturday night and for several nights by the rush of very cold winds accompanying the extension of the so-called Siberian air altitude.

Where there is a significant decrease and decrease in temperatures at night, and the weather turns to become very cold at night in many regions of the Kingdom, and the temperatures are around zero to below zero degrees Celsius in the peaks of the Shara Mountains and many parts of the southern and eastern Badia, while the temperatures are between 2 to 6 degrees Celsius in the rest of the Kingdom, including the capital, Amman.

As a result of the low temperatures, it is expected that frost and freezing will form in several parts of the Kingdom, especially from the high mountainous heights and the southern and eastern Badia regions, coinciding with an increase in surface moisture levels.

In light of the expected weather conditions, the Weather website advises:

• Wear heavy clothes.
• Attention to the danger of severe cold weather and the formation of frost at night and its impact on crops and livestock, especially in the southern regions.
• It is advised to pay attention to the residents of hair salons in the Badia regions due to the severe cold weather at night and the significant drop in temperatures.
