Arab Weather - The latest data issued by the Arab Weather Regional Center indicated that an air mass with colder than usual temperatures is moving towards the Badia regions of the Levant and Iraq, reaching Jordan, coming from Eastern Europe and following a dry continental path, which means that its main impact will be a decrease in temperatures without being accompanied by rainfall.
Starting Monday, the air mass will start to have a more pronounced effect on Jordan, with temperatures dropping to around 2-4 degrees Celsius below their annual average. In the capital Amman and the high mountainous areas, maximum temperatures are expected to reach the early twenties during the day, with cool weather in the highlands and pleasant in the rest of the regions.
Winds are expected to be easterly to southeasterly, moderate in speed, with active gusts in some areas on Tuesday and Wednesday, increasing the feeling of coldness significantly during the night and early morning hours. During the night, especially after midnight and in the early morning hours, temperatures will witness a noticeable drop, reaching around 8-10 degrees Celsius in the capital, Amman, the highlands and the eastern plains. In the Badia areas, minimum temperatures may reach around 6 degrees, making the atmosphere cold and unsuitable for outdoor sessions. It is recommended to wear warmer clothes during these periods.
14 Day Weather in Amman, Jordan
As temperatures continue to drop at night, large temperature differences are expected between day and night, ranging between 10-15 degrees Celsius, and reaching about 18-20 degrees in desert areas. These differences increase the chances of catching a cold and seasonal diseases, especially among children, which requires attention and caution.
Given the dry continental path followed by this air mass, the weather will remain stable and dry in the affected areas, with no chance of rain.
And God knows best.
