Jordan | Cold wave clearly appears in the atmosphere tonight and a further drop in temperatures on Wednesday

Arab Weather - The latest weather maps outputs in "Arab Weather" indicate that the Kingdom will be increasingly affected tonight and on Wednesday by the cold wave that is rushing towards the Kingdom due to the deepening of a cold upper basin towards the eastern Mediterranean basin region coming from southeast Europe, coinciding with the rush of eastern winds that will increase the feeling of coldness significantly.

Remarkably cold weather tonight and an expected drop in night temperatures

Weather forecasters said that the effects of the cold wave will be clearly visible in the atmosphere tonight due to the deepening of the cold upper basin towards the region, and this is accompanied by activity in the eastern winds, especially during the late night hours, dawn and early morning, so there will be an additional drop in temperatures at night and the feeling of coldness will increase significantly.

The apparent temperature drops below 5 degrees Celsius in the desert and eastern plains regions.

During the late night and early morning hours, it is expected that there will be a radiative cooling in the desert and eastern plains regions, coinciding with the activity of the eastern winds and a significant lack of humidity levels. Therefore, it is expected that the minimum temperatures in some areas of the Kingdom will drop to less than 10 degrees Celsius, especially in the eastern plains, desert and high mountainous areas, especially the southern ones, while the feeling of coldness will increase significantly due to the eastern winds, which are expected to be less than 5 degrees Celsius in some eastern and southern parts of the Kingdom, especially the desert and eastern plains regions.

Additional decrease on Wednesday and the weather tends to be cold in all regions

According to weather data, temperatures will drop again on Wednesday , becoming 4-6 degrees Celsius below their usual rates. The weather will be cold in all areas, and the winds will be southeasterly to easterly, moderate in speed, with active gusts in some areas, stirring up dust and dirt. The easterly winds will also be remarkably active in the Jordan Valley and Dead Sea areas during the evening and night hours, accompanied by strong gusts.
