Arab Weather - Weather experts at the Arab Weather Regional Center said that the latest outputs from the so-called computer simulation show a significant change in the shape of weather systems in the northern hemisphere, including the Kingdom and the Levant, as a result of the flow of cold air to central and southern Europe affecting Jordan in the form of a humid autumn air mass that causes a clear drop in temperatures, especially during the night hours, and the northwesterly winds become active with the appearance of low clouds that may be interspersed with some scattered rain, especially at dawn and Monday morning.

Saturday: The Kingdom begins to be affected by the moderate air mass

• Temperatures will drop to around or slightly below their average for this time of year, and the weather will be moderate over the mountainous heights, tending to be hot in the lowlands, and hot in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba.

• Low clouds appear, and maximum temperatures will be between 27 and 30 degrees Celsius over major cities.

• The winds will be northwesterly, moderate in speed, active in the afternoon, and will cause dust storms in desert areas.

• The Kingdom will be increasingly affected on Sunday by the same air mass, and thus temperatures will drop further, to be about two degrees Celsius lower than they are supposed to be.

• Highs drop to the mid-20s Celsius over the mountains.

• Low clouds will appear, making the weather partly to mostly cloudy on Monday, with a chance of scattered showers in limited parts of the western part of the Kingdom, concentrated in the north, especially at dawn and early morning.

• Moderate northwesterly winds continue, becoming active in the afternoon.

A significant drop in minimum temperatures and cold weather in the coming nights:

• Minimum temperatures drop to 14-17°C over the high mountain peaks and eastern plains areas.

• While the minimum temperatures are less than 14 degrees Celsius on the peaks of the Sharah Mountains, amidst a cool to relatively cold but refreshing atmosphere.

• Moist air currents coming from the Mediterranean Sea rush in during these nights, so that humidity levels rise to exceed 90% in some areas of the Kingdom.

• The weather will be remarkably humid with low clouds and the possibility of fog forming over some mountain heights, especially the northern ones.
