Jordan: The Ministry of Works announces the activation of its emergency rooms in conjunction with the prevailing weather conditions

On Sunday evening, the Ministry of Public Works and Housing announced the activation of the central emergency room and its emergency rooms in the various governorates of the Kingdom, in line with the prevailing weather conditions.

In a press release issued by the Information and Communication Unit, the Ministry confirmed its readiness to deal with the prevailing weather conditions and the expected weather conditions during the coming days and to address the observations received to it within 24 hours through its 98 teams distributed over the various governorates of the Kingdom and equipped with the necessary equipment and mechanisms. The directorates and their affiliated offices to conduct periodic inspection tours of all areas.

In its circular, the ministry stressed the need for permanent and continuous coordination with the ministry's partners to work on solving and addressing all observations immediately to maintain the sustainability of services provided to citizens, in accordance with the government approach.

On the state of roads in the Kingdom, she indicated that all external roads within the jurisdiction, especially the desert road and roads in the east of the Kingdom, are witnessing a decrease in the range of horizontal visibility and are traversed with caution due to dust, with the exception of the Al-Ruwaished - Al-Bashiriya road, which is closed as a precaution due to the low range of horizontal visibility resulting from the formation of thick dust.

She noted that sections of roads with low horizontal visibility are partially and temporarily closed if necessary, according to the assessment of partners in the Public Security Directorate in coordination with the Ministry; To maintain the safety of road users.

The Ministry renewed its warning to citizens traveling on external roads against the low range of horizontal visibility from time to time due to the formation of dust, resulting from the active winds accompanying the prevailing weather in the Kingdom, especially the desert road and roads in the east of the Kingdom.
It called on citizens to take the utmost care and caution, and to be careful while driving on external roads and to follow the rules of safe driving, to be aware of the danger of low horizontal visibility due to dust, and the risk of torrential rains in valleys and low-lying areas, and to abide by the directives of its cadres working in the field and the cadres of partners in the Security Directorate year, according to information received from the Meteorological Department.
