The UAE declares mourning and flags fly at half-mast over the death of Tahnoun bin Mohammed

Weather of Arabia - The Emirati President, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, offered with great sadness and sorrow his condolences on the death of Sheikh Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, who was the ruler’s representative in the Al Ain region, and according to a statement issued by the Presidential Office,

“Our hearts believe in God’s will and destiny, as His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, mourns his late uncle, His Highness Sheikh Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, the ruler’s representative in the Al Ain region, who has moved to the side of his Lord today.”

The Presidential Office announced official mourning and flags at half-mast for a period of seven days, starting yesterday, Wednesday, in memory of the deceased. The statement also talked about the role of Sheikh Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan in serving the state, as he was one of the few who participated in the journey of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founder of the UAE, and he was familiar with the conditions and news of the people of Al Ain for a long time, and Sheikh Tahnoun is considered one of the figures who... Sheikh Zayed placed his absolute trust in it, as he held multiple positions in government and public service, including his position as Minister of Municipalities and Agriculture, his representation of the ruler in the Al Ain region, and his presidency of the Board of Directors of the Abu Dhabi Fund for Arab Development and Economics. Sheikh Tahnoun is known for his direct communication with the people of the region and his noticeable presence at their events, which made him close to people’s hearts and affairs.
