Several scientific reasons helped make the rainy situation extreme in the UAE
The staff of the Weather Forecast Department at the Arab Weather Center explains the scientific reasons and weather conditions that accompanied the rainy situation in the UAE and made it a strong and exceptional situation.
First: Deepening the upper depression in an ideal way that serves the UAE in the first place.
Second: Large thermal differences between the upper and surface layers amounted to 41 degrees Celsius, which contributed to an increase in convection currents, which allowed the formation of huge thunderclouds carrying large amounts of rain.
Third: The formation of low surface pressure in the east of the Emirates increased the pull and flow of moist air towards the region.
Fourth: The influx of moisture and water vapor to record levels in the atmosphere reached up to a height of 12 km above the Earth’s surface, which stimulated the towering vertical construction of cumulonimbus thunderclouds, which contributed greatly to the formation of hailstones and their falling in large sizes.
