Al-Hussaini reveals the reasons behind the cold nights in Taif in recent days

In this context, Abdulaziz Al-Hussaini, a weather researcher and member of the climate “Nomenclature” Committee, explained in a statement to “Sabq” newspaper that the drop in temperatures in the past few days is due to several factors. At dawn on Thursday, May 2, 2024 AD, Taif recorded the lowest The temperature in the Kingdom reached 13 degrees Celsius, while Riyadh was 17 degrees Celsius.

Al-Hussaini pointed out the presence of a cold air mass in the upper layers of the atmosphere, which accompanies the depression that affected most regions of the Kingdom with rain varying from heavy to moderate. This cold air mass, in addition to the rain clouds that formed a cloud cover, contributed to the drop in temperatures and more. Therefore, flash floods formed in some areas, causing temperatures to drop as well.
