Arabia Weather - Sinan Khalaf - The weather forecast team at the Regional Arab Weather Center is monitoring what the latest numerical modeling outputs indicate that large parts of the Kingdom, especially the eastern parts of it, may be affected by a wave of thunderclouds, rain, and hail, with high chances of flowing valleys and reefs. .
New rainy conditions starting Monday
Heavy thunderstorms and heavy hail showers concentrated in the eastern region
In detail, it is expected that the Kingdom will be affected, as of Monday, by weather fluctuations resulting from the concentration of a depression in the high layers of the atmosphere, coinciding with the flow of moisture with tropical characteristics into the atmosphere of the Arabian Peninsula, which creates highly effective cumulonimbus thunderclouds.
The impact of the rainy situation is concentrated on the eastern region and east of the Riyadh region administratively, and may affect the capital, and may also include separate parts of the regions of Qassim, Hail, the northern borders, Al-Jawf, and the Tabuk and southwestern highlands. It is expected that cumulonimbus clouds will be accompanied by rainfall of varying intensity, accompanied by Thunderstorms sometimes occur and sedges fall, causing valleys and reefs to flow.
Active winds and possible dust waves in parts of the center and east of the Kingdom
As a result of the activity of cumulonimbus thunderstorm clouds overhead, it is expected that various parts of the north, east, and center of the Kingdom will be vulnerable to descending winds that may produce heavy dust waves at times, leading to a decrease and perhaps a lack of horizontal visibility in those areas.
