Saudi Arabia | Thunderstorms will renew during the next 48 hours in these areas

Weather of Arabia - Sinan Khalaf - Unstable weather conditions continue to affect large parts of the Kingdom on Monday and Tuesday, and it is expected that moderate and heavy thunderstorms will fall on large scales.

Heavy thunderstorms are sometimes expected in many areas

It is expected, God willing, that chances of rain will begin again , starting in the afternoon hours, as it is expected that large quantities of cumulus thunderstorm clouds will form along the western and southwestern highlands of the Kingdom, to include Jizan, Asir, Al-Baha, Taif, Medina, and even parts of the Tabuk region.

Cumulonimbus thunderstorm activity also extends to parts of Al-Jawf, Hail, the northern border, Hafr Al-Batin and the far north of the Riyadh region.

In general, the nature of weather fluctuations at this time of the year is characterized by randomness, that is, they take the nature of local precipitation, affecting only one neighborhood, and are characterized by the following weather phenomena:

• The intensity of thunderclouds and the intensity of lightning.
• Heavy precipitation in narrow bands.
• Sometimes accompanied by showers of cold.
• Downward wind activity, which may result in the formation of waves of dust.
