ويأتي هذا الإنخفاض في درجات الحرارة نتيجة تأثر الأجزاء الشمالية من المملكة بكتلة هوائية باردة تترافق مع مرتفع جوي سطحي قوي، يعمل على خفض درجات الحرارة بشكل كبير في ساعات الليل والصباح الباكر خاصة على اجزاء من تبوك والمدينة.
