Saudi Arabia records the highest average rainfall in 40 years, with 110 mm

And the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture revealed in a tweet via its Twitter account that the Kingdom recorded a record level of average rainfall of 110 mm during the period from October 2022 AD to April 2023 AD; Which is the highest in 40 years.

The hydrological report, published by the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture on its Twitter account, confirmed that the average rainfall in the regions of the Kingdom amounted to 110 mm, and that the volume of torrents amounted to 2.15 billion cubic meters, and the volume of torrents entering the dams reached 665 million cubic meters.

The report added that the highest daily rainfall was recorded in the Makkah region with 167 mm, and the highest average rainfall was recorded in the Riyadh region with 222 mm. The amount of incoming torrents is 113 million cubic meters, and the volume of water discharged from dams is 385 million cubic meters.
