Thus, the results of computer simulations of near- and medium-term forecasts at the Arabian Weather Center indicate an expected intensification of seasonal rains in several parts of the Empty Quarter and the regions of Najran, Jazan, Asir, Al-Baha, and Makkah Al-Mukarramah, and may affect parts of the south of the Riyadh and Medina regions. The rain is of varying intensity and is accompanied by thunderstorms and falling sedges, which leads to significant flow into the valleys and reefs.

The same computer models indicate expectations that monsoon rain activity will increase in the second and third weeks of August, with the thunderstorm rain area expanding and affecting other regions of the Kingdom, accompanied by thunderstorms and hail.
