From the Arabia Weather Center - Official data issued by the National Center of Meteorology indicated that scorching temperatures were recorded during the past days in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as a result of it being affected by an extremely hot air mass that caused a heat wave and temperatures to rise to several degrees Celsius above their usual levels.
The same data shows that the highest temperature recorded in Dammam was 50 degrees Celsius, which is half the boiling temperature! It is also followed by Qaisumah and Al-Ahsa with 49 degrees Celsius, and then Medina and Riyadh with 48 and 47 degrees Celsius, respectively.

The specialists at the Arabia Weather Center indicated that medium and long-term forecasts indicate that what is known as the eastern jet stream is expected to shift the high air pressure in the high layers of the air to the north and northeast of the Arabian Peninsula during the coming weeks, leading to the predominance of temperatures. Warmer than usual rates in many areas of the north, center and east of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the continued occurrence of heat waves in these areas, with temperatures reaching 50 degrees Celsius on many occasions, God willing.
