Weather of Arabia - On the occasion of the Founding Day , a Saudi child who did not exceed the age of fourteen presented an innovative artistic drawing of the map of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in a unique way, as he embodied the history of glory and greatness through the idea of using camel hair in producing the painting.

The father, Yazid Al-Shahrani, was a dedicated partner with his son in implementing this artwork, which he called the “Painting of the Century,” as they used natural camel hair to produce this wonderful masterpiece of the map of the Kingdom.

Speaking about this achievement, the father, Mr. Ali Al-Shahrani, said that the painting is one of the most expensive artistic paintings around the world, as it embodies the concept of the Triangle of Glory , “establishment, documentation, and vision.” This painting is considered an additional masterpiece that expresses Saudi Arabia’s civilized and cultural history in an innovative way. And special.

10 months to produce the plate

Mr. Ali Al-Shahrani explained that the size of the painting is 1.60 meters by 1.20 meters , and it took approximately 10 months to produce it. After hiring a professional painter to draw the map, the foundation stone was laid for the execution of the painting, and the idea was implemented with great care for details.

The process of producing the painting included several stages, starting with field surveying in the desert, camel markets, and slaughtering, skinning, and fattening points, through providing camel skins, removing grease, and tanning with salt for a month, and completing the process with sterilization with ash, then initial washing and drying, and preparing the lint in several multiple stages.

Then the pile was glued to the wood, the wood was cut with a laser, the location of the pile was determined and fixed on the wood. After that, work was done on forming the frame of the painting from a camel’s headband, which is considered a symbol of protecting the Kingdom’s borders and security.

Recently, Mr. Ali Al-Shahrani shared inspiring details about his son Yazid’s experience in producing the distinctive artistic painting. He pointed out that his son Yazid participated enthusiastically in all stages to confirm the idea that came from his love for art and drawing, in addition to his passion for presenting national initiatives. Yazid received support and guidance from the elders in the family, who shared with him their expertise in processing camel skins and preparing them for use in artistic painting.

Yazid, who studies in middle school, is distinguished by his ability to innovate and present new ideas that serve the nation. He presented many national initiatives such as “The Wellness Path” and “Asir Agricultural Fronts,” in addition to proposing many slogans that express positivity and progress.

At the conclusion of his speech, Mr. Ali stressed that what his son Yazid provided was just a small drop in the sea of patriotism, and these contributions were honored during Saudi Media Day, to salute and appreciate the dedication and giving to their dear homeland.
