In compliance with the royal order, which reflects the interest of the wise leadership - may God support it - in the symbolism of the flag and its national connotations; A sense of the ministry's responsibility towards promoting the values of citizenship, belonging and loyalty, and the importance of the flag as a manifestation of the state's strength and sovereignty, and a symbol of cohesion, coalition and national unity.
By celebrating this occasion, the Ministry seeks to deepen and promote national values in the hearts of both male and female students, both citizens and residents, in addition to inculcating the importance of the flag and its symbolic connotations in the minds of students, as the development of the Saudi flag tells the story of the homeland and its stages of renaissance, and also represents commitment to the flag system and its standards. An important aspect of respecting its symbolism and its national and historical connotations that refer to monotheism, justice, strength, growth and prosperity.
The Ministry of Education is organizing a number of activities to celebrate Flag Day in all its sectors, as the Minister of Education raises the national flag tomorrow, Saturday, in front of the Ministry's office, in addition to holding a number of activities in schools, education departments and offices in the regions and governorates in conjunction with the return of male and female students to school seats next Sunday, including Renewing the flag and ensuring its conformity and validity with specifications and standards, and organizing a student scout march under the title: "The National Flag" to enhance the status of the flag in the hearts of students and the spirit of loyalty and belonging, in addition to holding cultural competitions (article, poem, wall painting and patriotic phrases) that emphasize pride and pride and belonging.
The activities also include raising the flag in the morning queue next Sunday, with the chanting of the national anthem by all students and school personnel, and allocating the school radio to talk about its importance and defining its history and symbolic connotations within the “Voice of My Country” activity, in addition to allocating the first ten minutes of the first session to talk about the history of the flag, and invest Art education lessons in schools to spread the culture of the national flag and draw stages of its development that enhance the spirit of belonging and national unity.
March 11th is the day when King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al Saud - may God rest his soul in peace - endorsed the Saudi flag in the form that we see today, as the flag includes the Certificate of Monotheism, which symbolizes peace and Islam on which the state is based, as well as the emblem of the sword, which symbolizes strength, dignity, and loftiness. Wisdom and prestige, as it was a witness to the campaigns to unite the country that the Saudi state waged for three centuries, and the citizens took from it a banner of pride that is lofty and unbreakable.
