Saudi Arabia's participation comes within the framework of its efforts to support international efforts to combat the challenges of climate change, as it adopts a comprehensive vision aimed at reducing emissions using various and advanced technologies.
This participation reflects the Kingdom’s commitment to its pioneering environmental initiatives, such as the “Saudi Green Initiative” and the “Middle East Green Initiative,” which aim to reduce emissions, promote renewable energy, and increase vegetation cover, in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 for sustainable development.
These initiatives focus on balanced environmental policies that take into account countries’ historical responsibilities for emissions, and support the right to sustainable development, ensuring the achievement of comprehensive environmental goals.
Through these policies, Saudi Arabia emphasizes the importance of energy security, which is a fundamental pillar for achieving sustainable economic growth.
The Kingdom also continues its efforts to invest in all clean energy resources, whether traditional or renewable, while respecting the right of countries to exploit their natural resources in a way that achieves sustainable development goals.
