Weather of Arabia - The Municipality of Benghazi announced the imposition of a state of emergency and a curfew in the city, starting from eight o’clock in the evening, Saturday until Monday, the evacuation of areas, and the closure of shops adjacent to the Libyan coast, and the low-lying areas located near the valleys, against the backdrop of the passage of Storm Daniel near the city borders. .
The Municipality of Benghazi said in a statement that these measures come in implementation of the instructions of the Commander of the General Command forces, Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, to form an emergency room headed by the head of the Benghazi Joint Security Room, Commander of the Ground Forces, Brigadier General Saddam Haftar, and to declare a state of emergency by the head of the government designated by the House of Representatives, Osama Hammad. .
The measures included asking citizens to “respond to the announced security and humanitarian measures by evacuating their homes and cooperate with members of the Armed Forces, the Ministry of Interior, humanitarian organizations, the Libyan Red Crescent, Ministry of Health teams, and volunteers to help move between cities, especially in the city of Benghazi,” according to the statement.
The Benghazi municipality allocated numbers for citizens to communicate in emergency situations.

In response to this, the Commander-in-Chief of the General Command Forces, Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, issued on Saturday his instructions to raise the level of readiness and maximum readiness of all military units to confront the storms and heavy rains expected during the coming days.
The spokesman for the General Command, Major General Ahmed Al-Mismari, said in a statement: Field Marshal Haftar’s instructions also included “taking all measures necessary to establish rescue and protection operations in areas exposed to these expected weather fluctuations.”
