Arab Weather - Meteorologists at the Arab Weather Regional Center said that the latest computer outputs indicate that Iraq will be affected on Tuesday by a deep surface low pressure system resulting from increased heating of the air near the Earth's surface, causing significant weather fluctuations in the form of dust and thunderstorms.

Iraq will be affected on Tuesday by a deep surface depression that will attract hot and dusty winds from the Arabian Peninsula desert towards Iraq. Temperatures will rise and will be about 5 degrees Celsius higher than their average for this time of year. The weather will be hot and dusty in most areas and moderate over the northern mountainous highlands, with active southeasterly winds that will raise dust.

In the evening hours, a state of atmospheric instability arises, as clouds multiply at different altitudes. Showers of rain are expected in scattered areas of northern and eastern Iraq, concentrated in the northeastern parts, specifically in the city of Sulaymaniyah. The rains will be heavy at times, with hail showers and thunderstorms, which may lead to rising water levels and the occurrence of water pools.

Intensification of atmospheric instability in Iraq at midnight Tuesday/Wednesday

The depression is expected to deepen in the upper atmosphere at midnight Tuesday/Wednesday, which will intensify the unstable weather conditions. Showers of rain fall in the northeast of the country, especially Sulaymaniyah, sometimes heavy and accompanied by heavy hail showers.
