The ministry called for rationalizing electricity consumption during peak hours from 11 am to 5 pm, and stressed the importance of adhering to the guidelines issued by it. It confirmed that it will announce any new updates related to the electricity network.
The ministry explained that the reason for the outage was due to a malfunction in the fuel (gas) supply, which led to the shutdown of some electricity generation units in the Al-Subiya and Doha West power generation and water distillation stations, according to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).
