Arab Weather - Based on the latest outputs from computer simulations, Arab Weather experts reported that the effects of the Siberian high pressure system are gradually increasing on the Kingdom on Wednesday and Thursday, which imposes clear but cold weather, especially in the early morning hours and at night, while the Kingdom will be affected by a state of atmospheric instability on Friday and Saturday, God willing.
In detail, God willing, temperatures are expected to be around or slightly above their average for this time of year, but people will feel less hot, especially in the shade, due to the wind activity, especially on Thursday. The weather is expected to be relatively cold to cold in general, especially over the high mountainous elevations, and temperatures will be around 13 degrees Celsius, amid clear weather.
As for the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba, the weather is completely different, with moderate weather that tends to warm up during the afternoon and evening hours, and maximum temperatures during the day are around 25-27 degrees Celsius, but the easterly winds are active, especially on Thursday, and are accompanied by strong gusts at times.
East winds will intensify on Wednesday/Thursday night and Thursday day, doubling the feeling of coldness.
Winds will be southeasterly, moderate in speed on Wednesday, sometimes active and increasing the feeling of coldness, but they will intensify from the late night hours of Wednesday/Thursday night and Thursday dawn and day. They will be dry, moderate to active in speed, and the winds will be accompanied by strong gusts in a noticeable way in the foothills of the western highlands, the Jordan Valley and the Shfa Ghor regions, in addition to the Dead Sea, where the speed of its gusts sometimes exceeds 60 km/hour. Farmers and owners of greenhouses in the Jordan Valley warn of the danger of the high wind speed.
God willing, minimum temperatures are expected to drop in the coming nights, and cold to very cold weather will prevail in various regions of the Kingdom, with minimum temperatures dropping to around zero degrees Celsius, especially near the ground surface in large areas of the eastern plains, the Badia regions, and the peaks of the Shara Mountains, while in the capital Amman they reach around 4 degrees Celsius.
The possibility of the Kingdom and the eastern Mediterranean basin being affected by a state of atmospheric instability is being monitored on Friday and Saturday, as a cold upper trough rushes to northern Egypt and moves northeastward, coinciding with a surface extension of the Red Sea depression. The weather is expected to be as follows:
Friday during the day:
Temperatures will be around average to slightly above average, and the weather will be relatively cold to cold and mostly sunny in general. Clouds will begin to appear as unstable weather conditions begin to develop.
The winds are southeasterly, moderate in speed, sometimes active and increasing the feeling of coldness.
Friday night:
The weather will be generally cold in most areas, later turning very cold, with clouds spreading in some areas.
The winds will be southeasterly, light to moderate in speed.
Saturday during the day:
Temperatures drop to around their average for this time of year, and the weather will be relatively cold to cold, with the Kingdom continuing to be affected by unstable weather conditions and showers of rain expected in some areas.
The winds will be southwesterly, moderate in speed, and sometimes active.
Saturday night:
The weather will be generally cold in most areas, later turning very cold with some clouds. Moderate southwesterly winds.
Humidity levels rise and fog forms in many areas during the late night hours.
And God knows best.
