Arab Weather - The latest weather map forecasts issued this morning, Monday 2-17-2025, indicate that the Kingdom will be affected on Wednesday night and Thursday day by a low pressure system that has been classified by Arab Weather specialists as a second-degree normal system according to the most prominent weather phenomena expected to accompany it.

In detail: At the end of this week, a cold air mass coming from southeastern Europe is expected to rush towards the eastern Mediterranean basin, including the Kingdom. As a result, a low pressure system is expected to form, God willing, centered over Syrian territory, and begin to affect the Kingdom in the late hours of Wednesday night and Thursday morning.

Thursday: Very cold, stormy and cloudy weather, with rain expected in different areas

On Thursday, temperatures are expected to drop significantly, and the weather will be cold and cloudy, with rain falling, God willing, in different regions of the Kingdom, God willing, accompanied by occasional hail showers.

Fog formation in high mountains is also not ruled out as a result of clouds touching the Earth's surface.

The winds will be active westerly with occasional strong gusts.

The depression will move away from the Kingdom on Thursday evening, but humid air currents will continue to affect the Kingdom.

On Thursday evening and night, the low pressure system will move eastward, away from the Kingdom, but the Kingdom will remain under the influence of the remnants of the cold air mass and the air currents rushing behind the low pressure system.

Therefore, it is expected that the opportunity for rain will remain, God willing, especially in the north of the Kingdom and some central regions.

On Friday, humid and cold air currents will rush behind the low pressure system.

Forecasts indicate a further drop in temperatures on Friday, to become 3-5 degrees Celsius below average.

The weather will be cold and cloudy with occasional rain, God willing. The winds will be northwesterly, moderate in speed, with occasional active gusts. It is not unlikely that some high mountain heights will witness light, insignificant snow showers.

During the night hours, the weather turns very cold in various regions, and the weather is cloudy with scattered rain, and hail showers are likely to fall in the high mountainous areas.

Recommendations:

• Beware of low horizontal visibility in high mountains due to fog.
• Beware of low horizontal visibility on desert roads and eastern plains in the afternoon due to strong winds and dust waves.
• Drive carefully on roads where there is rain and maintain a safe distance.
