A spokesman for the Jordanian Electricity Company clarifies the time of delivery of electricity to the areas affected by electricity malfunctions

Weather of Arabia - A spokesman for the Jordanian Electricity Company, Muhammad Saifan, said that there was a power outage due to weather conditions, and snow fell and accumulated on poles and trees.

In his speech to Roya News, today, Thursday, Saifan indicated that the Jordan Electricity Company dealt with more than 275 observations and electrical failures, including major ones.

Saifan predicted that within 3 hours, 80-90% of the electricity will be delivered to the rest of the areas affected by electricity faults.

He added that the accumulation of snow on the trees and its fall on the poles contributed to the power outage in some areas.

He pointed out that there is difficulty in dealing with malfunctions due to the weather, as a result of the accumulation of snow and some citizens leaving their vehicles on the road, which hinders the movement of the company's mechanisms and reduces the speed of response with them.

Seifan confirmed that the Jordan Electricity Company's preparations for the weather conditions were to the fullest.

He explained that slips of vehicles contributed to the bending of some electricity poles, in addition to the presence of looseness in the ground and descents that led to the tilt of the poles.

He said, "There is a great deal of pressure from calls on the company's exchange, and citizens were not satisfied with one call."
