Weather of Arabia - The Libyan Red Crescent announced yesterday - on Friday - that the number of people rescued from the "Daniel" storm in the cities of eastern Libya reached 800 survivors.
Tamer Ramadan, responsible for aid operations for Libya at the Red Cross, explained in a press conference that there is still hope to find other survivors, without providing a final death toll. He stressed that this outcome “will not be final or accurate.”
Mediterranean Hurricane "Daniel" swept several areas in eastern Libya as of last Sunday, including the cities of Benghazi, Al-Bayda, and Al-Marj, in addition to Sousse and Derna.
The Libyan authorities closed the city of Derna, which is considered the most affected, so that rescue teams can search for 10,100 people who are still missing, after the number of deaths rose to 11,300, which is an infinite toll.
