Arab Weather - The Japanese authorities issued a warning today, Tuesday, of the possibility of a tsunami in the islands of Izu and Ogasawara, after a 5.9-magnitude earthquake struck the Pacific Ocean .

According to the Japanese news agency "Kyodo", the Japan Meteorological Agency reported that the epicenter of the earthquake was located near Torishima Island in the Izu Islands chain, at a depth of 10 kilometers below the sea surface, and this event raised concerns about possible effects on nearby coastal areas.
