Video | “Al-Zaaq”: After 40 days, the scorching heat begins

Weather of Arabia - Meteorologist Dr. Khaled Saleh Al-Zaaq said that after approximately 40 days , the scorching heat begins, and this coincides with the sun’s arrival at the Tropic of Cancer. He pointed out that the public says during this period:

“There is no freedom until after leaving.”

Al-Zaaq explained that the sun sends us light and heat, and that the summer is hot due to the long daylight hours, while the winter is cold. Because the number of daylight hours is short, and if the number of daylight hours is equal to the night, the weather is moderate. Therefore, a balance occurs in the atmosphere in the areas located on the equator throughout the year. He pointed out that the North and South Poles are frozen. Because the sun sets on them for six months, and when it rises, it is tilted.

He added that during these days the days become longer and the nights shorter, and after a month we experience the longest days and the shortest nights.

After approximately 40 days:
The scorching heat begins and this coincides with the Sun reaching the Tropic of Cancer
