The Eiffel Tower.. is gradually becoming an environmentally friendly tower

ArabiaWeather.com - The New York Green Technologies Company has signed a partnership contract with the Eiffel Tower management to install special turbines to generate electric power through wind movement. The turbines will produce 10,000 kilowatts of electricity annually.

According to energy experts, these winds will be sufficient to light the tower in the evening and night hours, but it will not be sufficient to provide the tower restaurant with the energy needed to operate it. The company indicated that the turbines that will be installed will be painted in the same color as the tower, so that their color does not affect the visual vision.

The step of lighting the Eiffel Tower using renewable energies comes as part of a comprehensive plan taken by the French government to reach the production of approximately 25% of electricity using this type of energies by 2020.
