Arab Weather - After more than a year has passed since the Coronavirus pandemic, and the changes imposed by the pandemic on the lifestyle of people around the world, children may be the most affected by these changes, and although children are not significantly susceptible to infection, their lives have been upended. Upside down, parents became confused about helping their children to cope with these changes, while convincing their children that these are temporary days and the epidemic will go away, God willing, and life will soon return to normal, so the JAWC program hosted Dr. Nariman Attia, a family relations consultant , to talk about the role of parents in Educating children about the Corona epidemic.
Among the challenges that children face due to the Corona pandemic:
1. Distance education.
2. Family pressures and constant warnings.
3. Lack of leaving the house.
4. Lack of mixing with friends and relatives.
5. Parents' tension and fears.
Parental tension may be one of the most challenges that exhausts children, so feelings of anxiety, tension and fear are transmitted automatically from parents to children, and children miss the presence of the hand that strikes and reassures, and this anxiety may develop and serious complications appear in children, such as: obsessive-compulsive disorder, or phobias Or, phobia, or even psychological trauma that may cause other psychological disorders, so parents must provide a safe environment for children, an environment free from stress and anxiety, so that the child becomes able to accept the challenges and difficulties that pass in their lives.
Among the advice that Dr. Nariman Attia gives to parents to provide a safe environment for their children in light of the Corona pandemic:
1. Try to simplify and not exaggerate things.

6. Strengthening the religious aspect and strengthening the child's faith in the ability of God Almighty to heal.
7. Focusing on the positive aspects of the human personality, such as willpower and its role in the human ability to resist difficulties.
