ArabiaWeather - Eurostar , the operator of train services, announced today, Saturday, the cancellation of all its services to and from the British capital, London, until the end of the day as a result of the floods that struck the Thames River Tunnel.
In light of the yellow warnings issued by the United Kingdom Meteorological Office regarding adverse weather conditions, train services heading from London St Pancras International Station to the cities of Amsterdam, Brussels and Paris were cancelled.
A statement issued by Eurostar explained that this decision came as a result of the temporary closure of part of the route near London. Due to the floods of the River Thames, we apologize for the resulting inconvenience and its impact on movement and travel.

Train services in the south-east of the UK were also significantly affected by the flooding, resulting in negative impacts on service to London's St Pancras International station until the end of the day.
In this context, the National Railways Authority stated in a statement that:
“The impact of flooding between Ebbsfleet International and London St Pancras International stations will mean all lines will be closed, which may cause cancellations of trains running between these stations.”
The authority added that disturbances are expected to continue "until the end of the day" as a result of ongoing flooding in railway tunnels near Ebbsfleet, located 16 kilometers east of London .
The BBC transmitted a video clip showing water flowing into the River Thames Tunnel.
Eurostar is an international high-speed rail service in Western Europe, linking London and Kent in the United Kingdom, Paris and Lille in France, and Brussels in Belgium.
