For his part, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan called, yesterday, Monday, on citizens to be careful and not to light fires near the forests, stressing the participation of 24 aircraft, a hundred helicopters and 10 drones, in addition to 25,000 firefighters in fighting the fires.
In Greece, the authorities carried out the largest evacuation operation in its history due to the wave of fires sweeping the island of Rhodes, which included nearly 19,000 residents and tourists on the island of Rhodes, and the authorities warned of the possibility of fires spreading to large areas of the country in the coming days.
