تتعرض مناطق أقصى شمال غرب المملكة العربية السعودية مثل محافظة طريف و المناطق المجاورة لها إلى تأثيرات منخفض بارد يؤثر على أجواء دول شرق المتوسط ابتداء من  مساء يوم الثلاثاء 28 فبراير و الذي يتوقع أن يجلب أمطار و ثلوج و رياح في لبنان و سوريا و الأردن و فلسطين.

و تكون الأجواء غائمة جزئيا إلى غائمة يومي الأربعاء و الخميس مع نشاط الرياح الغربية و الجنوبية الغربية التي تتعدى بعض هباتها 50 كم في الساعة مثيرة للأتربة و الغبار. و تنخفض الحرارة بشكل كبير يوم الجمعة مع سقوط متفرق للأمطار الخفيفة على فترات، تكون متجمدة مع بعض حبات البرد و مصحوبة بثلوج خفيفة على المرتفعات مثل جبل اللوز.
