Arabia Weather - Weather specialists at the Regional Arabia Weather Center are monitoring the latest indications from computer simulations, especially those showing the movement of air masses and systems, that there are initial indications of an increase in the air pressure in the upper layers of the atmosphere in conjunction with the Day of Arafah and the Eid al-Adha holiday, which causes an increase in surface heating processes. A hot air mass over the Arab world, which may rise to the name of a heat wave, especially over the Arabian Gulf.
Weather forecasters at the Arabia Weather Center said that weather maps indicate that Egypt and the Levant, including Jordan, will be affected at the end of this week and during the blessed Eid al-Adha holiday by a hot air mass coming through the African Sahara and the Arabian Peninsula and accompanied by a strong air pressure in the upper layers of the atmosphere, so there will be a clear rise in the air mass. Temperatures will be warmer than average for this time of the year, and the weather will be hot in various regions and extremely hot in desert and low-lying places, as temperatures range between the mid and late thirties Celsius in the Levant, while they are in the high forties in Egypt.
Meteorological specialists at the Arabian Regional Weather Center said that the latest computer model outputs indicate that large areas of the Arabian Gulf will be severely affected during the Eid holiday by a heat wave resulting from the increase in the upper air pressure, which works to fuel the heat dome phenomenon, which is accompanied by an air mass with high surface heating that causes By raising temperatures to nearly 50 degrees Celsius, especially in the desert areas of Iraq, Kuwait, and parts of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the Emirates, and the Sultanate of Oman.
Therefore, there will be a further rise in temperatures, far exceeding what they are supposed to be, and the most appropriate description of the weather at that time is that it is scorching in all regions of the Arabian Gulf, where maximum temperatures are between 47-49 degrees Celsius in large areas, while reaching the threshold of 50-51. Celsius in desert areas, especially in Iraq and Kuwait, such as the city of Basra and Jahra, and it will also be on the cusp of 50 Celsius in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, and neighborhoods in Kuwait City.
Weather forecasters at the Arabia Weather Center also indicated that the latest outputs received from the so-called computer simulation indicate that the Maghreb, especially Libya, Tunisia and Algeria, will be affected by a strong heat wave during the Eid holiday accompanied by very high temperatures, so the weather will be very hot and exhausting in various regions, amid expectations that Temperatures range from the mid-forties to higher, and the maximum temperature varies depending on the region.
Due to the arrival of winds from very hot or scorching southern desert sources and their passage over the mountain ranges, especially the Western Mountain, and their descent towards the Jaffara Plain (extending from southern Tunisia to the west to northern Libya), it is expected that a process of intense heating of the air will occur, which will raise the temperatures in and around the Jaffara Plain to values up to 48-49 degrees Celsius, and thus it has reached 50 degrees Celsius in these areas due to the Fohn phenomenon.
Arabia Weather specialists will follow up on any changes that occur on the weather maps and provide you with a picture of the expected weather conditions during Eid. We also invite you to download Arabia Weather to enjoy many of the available features, including the weather for the next 14 days.
