Arabia Weather - The United Nations Climate Change Conference COP 28 will be held this year in Expo City Dubai, located in the United Arab Emirates, during the period from November 30 to December 12, 2023. More than 70,000 participants are expected to participate in the conference.

Expo City Dubai offers dedicated spaces for engagement and contribution from the public, including civil society, youth, indigenous peoples and private sector participants. This gives everyone the opportunity to provide solutions to climate change issues and contribute to essential climate action.

It is planned to redesign the green area programs and expand the space allocated for shepherds. Centers will be available in the Green Zone to exchange technology, innovation, transfer knowledge, and finance projects to combat climate change and a just transition. This comes in response to the action agenda of the COP 28 Presidency.

Sponsors will also have the opportunity to showcase technologies and solutions and exchange ideas with partners from around the world.

The COP 27 Climate Change Conference, which was held in Sharm El Sheikh last year, contributed significantly to producing many solutions and discussing vital issues related to climate change on the global scene. This effort continues at COP 28, which will be held in the United Arab Emirates this year.

Among the most important outcomes of COP 27 is the setting of a global target for adaptation to climate change. Several meetings were held with the participation of all parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change to set this goal. A set of questions have been identified to be discussed at COP 28 regarding this global adaptation target. Among these questions are aspects related to the time frame, the different dimensions included in it, and the areas on which it will focus. The objective will be central to the discussion, whether quantitative or qualitative.
