Arab Weather - Weather experts at the Arab Weather Regional Center said that the latest computer outputs indicate that Iraq will continue to be affected by a polar air mass of very cold origin, so the weather will be very cold, especially at night, and will coincide with a state of atmospheric instability during the hours of Saturday/Sunday night and Sunday day, with chances of rain falling at intervals, God willing, which may be in the form of snow in some areas.

Saturday: Stable and cold weather, frost and freezing in several areas in the morning hours

During the daytime hours of Saturday, temperatures will remain 3-4 degrees Celsius below average, and very cold weather will prevail in the morning with frost and freezing. During the rest of the day, the weather will be cold in most areas, while it will be very cold over the high northern mountainous heights, and the winds will be northwesterly and moderate in speed.

During the late hours of Friday/Saturday night and Saturday dawn and morning, the country will be affected by a state of atmospheric instability, coinciding with the deepening of very cold polar winds in the lower layers of the atmosphere. Therefore, temperatures will drop and the weather will become remarkably cold in all regions, including the capital, Baghdad, and will turn very cold during the late night hours, dawn and early morning, especially in the northern and western regions.

The weather gradually turns cloudy starting from the western regions with rain falling during the late night hours and dawn in western Anbar and Rutba, and the area of rainfall expands to include some southern regions, and as a result of the flow of very cold winds through the various layers of the atmosphere, especially those close to the surface of the earth, it is expected that the rain will be freezing from time to time, especially in the western regions and may be in the form of snowfall sometimes, especially on Sunday morning.

Iraq will continue to be affected by polar winds on Sunday, which will coincide with rain that is sometimes freezing.

On Sunday, Iraq will remain under the influence of the very cold air mass, which will be located over Iraq during the day, so temperatures will drop further and cloudy and cold weather will prevail in most areas and very cold over the mountainous heights, and God willing, showers of rain will fall on areas of the west and center of the country, which will be frozen from time to time.

Chances of rain continue in the first part of Saturday/Sunday night, and the weather will later turn to bitter cold.

During the hours of Sunday/Monday night, there is still a chance in the first part of the night for rain or freezing rain to fall on some areas of the country, with the amount of clouds decreasing with the late night hours and turning into severe cold with temperatures dropping below zero degrees Celsius in the western and northern regions, and frost forming in large areas and freezing occurring in areas of water accumulations, especially in the north and west of Iraq.
