This step, if actually applied, aims to support domestic tourism by reviewing the tourist and archaeological areas within the borders of the Kingdom, encouraging them to visit them, and demonstrating the importance of the tourism sector in supporting the national economy.

This step comes in light of the local community's reluctance to domestic tourism due to low levels of income and high prices.

It is noteworthy that the Kingdom contains many tourist and archaeological sites, among which we mention the ancient city of Petra, located in Ma’an Governorate, south of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, which is characterized by rock-carved architecture and the system of ancient water channels. It is called the "Pink City" due to the pink color of its rocks.
