موقع طقس العرب - ذكرت شركة متخصصة في تقييم المخاطر، أن إجمالي الخسائر الاقتصادية، التي سببتها العاصفة المدارية "هارفي" في الولايات المتحدة قد يبلغ ما بين 70 مليارا و90 مليار دولار، معظمها ناجمة عن السيول التي اجتاحت منطقة هيوستن.

وقالت شركة " آر.إم.إس" في تقديرات أولية إن غالبية تلك الخسائر لن تغطيها شركات التأمين، نظرا لأن تأمين القطاع الخاص ضد السيول محدود. وفقاً لسكاي نيوز.

 

وأوضحت  الشركة، الأسبوع الماضي، أن أضرار الرياح المصاحبة لـ"هارفي" قد تسبب خسائر تأمين تقل عن 6 مليارات دولار على الأرجح.

 

ويتوقع بعض المحللين في وول ستريت وصول الخسائر المؤمن عليها جراء العاصفة إلى نحو 20 مليار دولار.
