The water condensers for the cooling process in the central station are spread over a geographical area estimated at 70 thousand square meters, containing 6 chillers, the capacity of each chiller is 3400 tons, and it can reduce the water temperature to only 5 degrees Celsius! After that, the journey of distributing and pumping cold water begins through modern technologies towards 151 air treatment units.

After that, the mosque is cooled with forced air through pipes connected to the columns of the Prophet’s Mosque, and then the water cooling cycle is completed by returning it through insulated pipes. to reach the central station; to complete the cooling process.

There are also 250 huge umbrellas distributed in the courtyards of the Prophet’s Mosque, with a height of 15m and 14m, and the weight of one umbrella is 40 tons. the atmosphere, and relieving the heat for the worshipers; As there are 436 spray fans in the squares, and the central spray water network is subject to continuous sterilization to ensure the quality of the water in it, that it is free from bacteria and to preserve the safety of visitors to the Prophet’s Mosque.

Heat insulating marble covers the courtyards of the Prophet's Mosque

The visitor to the Prophet’s Noble Mosque must notice the coolness of the marble in the outer courtyards of the Prophet’s Mosque. It is a white heat-repelling marble called (Thassos), specially brought from the mountains of Greece for its multiple characteristics. it absorbs moisture through minute pores during the night, and during the day it takes out what it absorbed at night; This makes it always cool even in the hottest weather.

22 thousand containers of cooled Zamzam water distributed in the Prophet’s Mosque

The Agency for the Affairs of the Prophet’s Mosque also provides 20,000 containers for drinking Zamzam water, and it reaches 22,000 at peak times, in addition to drinking water in the courtyards of the Prophet’s Mosque and water bottles distributed to visitors throughout the Prophet’s Mosque to water the guests of Rahman.
