Arab Weather - The Jordanian Seismological Observatory recorded, on Friday afternoon, two earthquakes measuring 5.1 and 3.5 on the Richter scale, respectively, that struck the city of Hama in Syria.
The observatory explained in two separate statements that it "detected an earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale" at "1:15 pm today, Friday, Amman time" in southeast Hama, Syria.
About 3 minutes later, the observatory said it had detected an earthquake measuring 3.5 on the Richter scale in Hama as well, at 13:18 Amman time, at a depth of 5 km.
