A 5.6 magnitude earthquake struck the US state of Alaska this morning

Arabia Weather - An earthquake measuring 5.6 on the Richter scale struck the American state of Alaska today.

The US Geological Survey reported that the epicenter of the earthquake occurred 162 kilometers from the Nikolsky region of the state, at a depth of 118.4 kilometers.

There have been no reports so far of material or human damage resulting from the earthquake.
