These clouds are accompanied by rains of varying intensity, accompanied by thunderstorms at times.

Some rain clouds extend to parts of the mountainous heights located in the governorates of North Al Batinah, Al Dhahirah and Al Buraimi, in addition to separate parts of the governorates of Al Wusta and Dhofar.

On Wednesday 4-26-2023, the Sultanate’s atmosphere is increasingly affected by the groove of the depression, so that the activity of cumulus thunderstorms is renewed along the Hajar mountain range and adjacent areas, in addition to parts of the governorates of North Sharqiyah, South Sharqiyah, Al Wusta and Dhofar.

It is expected that these cumulonimbus clouds will be accompanied by medium to heavy rains and accompanied by the occurrence of thunderstorms and hailstorms, which will lead to the flow of valleys and reefs and a rise in the water level in the roads in some areas.

Thunder clouds are accompanied by strong gusts of wind, the speed of some of their gusts exceeding 120 km/h, which leads to the formation of sand storms in desert areas.

And weather analyzes in the Arab Weather Center indicate expectations of a deepening of the depression groove in the atmosphere of the Sultanate on Thursday, so that the activity of cumulus rain clouds will expand to include most of the governorates of the Sultanate, with expectations that the conditions will be ready for its extension to parts of the coasts of the Sea of Oman, especially the coasts (southeast, Muscat, South Al Batinah) God willing.
