From the Arab Weather Center - The latest weather maps indicate that the first western trough is expected to approach the Sultanate's atmosphere in the coming days, coinciding with the influx of high humidity from the Arabian Sea as a result of the rush of an eastern trough, which causes the Sultanate and parts of the Emirates and Yemen to be affected by a rainy weather condition that extends for several days and causes rain to fall in many areas.
The computer simulation results at the Arab Weather Center indicate that cumulus clouds are expected to become active in the afternoon and evening hours over the Al Hajar Mountains and neighboring areas, accompanied by rainfall of varying intensity, thunderstorms and hail at times, which may lead to the flow of valleys and ravines in some areas.
Rain clouds are also likely to extend, especially in the evening hours, to parts of the coasts of the Sea of Oman, with scattered rain, God willing.
It is also expected, God willing, that clouds will form over parts of the coastal and mountainous areas of Dhofar Governorate, with varying amounts of rain falling, which may sometimes be accompanied by thunder.
And God knows best.
