Sultanate of Oman: Monitoring the Sultanate’s impact by an extension of the monsoon depression next week, bringing rain to many governorates

Arab Weather - The latest computer simulation results at the Arab Weather Center indicate that the Sultanate of Oman may be affected next week by an extension of the monsoon depression from the east, accompanied by an influx of moisture towards the Sultanate, leading to thunderstorms in several governorates, God willing.

Monitoring the Sultanate's weather conditions due to an extension of a low pressure system next week

The latest weather maps at the Arab Weather Center indicate that there are expectations that the high pressure system in the upper atmosphere will move relatively away from the Sultanate’s atmosphere next week, coinciding with the monsoon depression rushing north of the Arabian Sea, driven by the eastern jet stream, which leads to the flow of water vapor to the region, and activity of the imaginary tropical belt south of the Arabian Peninsula.

This weather system, God willing, will lead to the flow of clouds at different altitudes in most parts of the Sultanate, interspersed with cumulonimbus clouds in some areas, leading to rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and hail, especially in the middle of next week.

The weather maps of the Arab Weather Center for the areas covered by the rain forecasts during the coming week fluctuate, but they are expected to include many northern governorates, especially the Al Hajar Mountains and neighboring areas, and it is not unlikely that they will extend to some coastal areas in addition to many desert areas.
